On October 30, 2025, officers responded to a 911 call outside an address on 27th Avenue NE in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, officers met with two Victims who advised they worked for Hennepin County COPE and had just finished a visit at a nearby address. They were seated in their parked vehicle on the street when a male, later identified as KEITH LAWRENCE STPIERRE [DOB REDACTED], Defendant, pulled up. Defendant got out of his car and paced back and forth before entering the residence.
A short time later, Defendant exited the front door with a black rifle and pointed it directly at the vehicle the Victims were seated in. The Victims believed the rifle was real, and they feared for their safety. As officers were investigating, a Witness exited the residence. The residence was a duplex with stairs leading up to one unit and down to another. Both Victims said the Witness was not the person who pointed a rifle at them. The Witness then stated there was a BB gun inside the house. Officers approached the front door and observed through the storm door what appeared to be a long, black rifle with a scope attached sitting just inside the entrance/common area.
Officers seized the weapon and determined it was a Swarm Maxxim Pellet Gun loaded with metal pellets. Just then, Defendant walked back up to the property with his dogs and was arrested. Officers placed Defendant in the back seat of the squad car. Officers advised the Defendant they were not going to speak with him about the incident, but he stated he never pointed the gun at anyone and only had the gun at his side as a show of force. Back at the station, in a post-Miranda interview, Defendant said that upon arriving home from out of town, he was unable to park directly in front of his house due to the Victims’ vehicle.
He stated he could smell weed, and the Victims sat in the vehicle for 10-12 minutes. He was frustrated from a long trip, so he went inside, got his BB gun and came back out. He denied ever raising it. Defendant is currently in custody.
