On January 18 2026, at 4:21 A.M., Cottage Grove Police Officers responded to a residence in the city of Cottage Grove, Washington County, Minnesota on a report that two brothers were fights. The caller, Victim #1 reported that her son, Quentin Ray Walsh, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, had thrown a kitchen knife at her. Then there was another 911 call, Victim #2 reported that Defendant had attacked him with a broom. Victim #1 reported Defendant needed a place to stay and came to the residence for a night.
Victim #1 said she was woken from her sleep by Defendant turning on lights, yelling and not making much sense. Defendant then yelled at Victim #1 and broke some of her decorative figurines. Victim #1 said Defendant got into her face and yelled. Victim #1 appeared frightened during this statement and was crying. Victim #2 reported that he was in his bedroom try to sleep and Defendant kicked in the door. Victim #2 was unsure was had proceeded this because he had been wearing earplugs. Defendant then came into the bedroom wielding a broom.
Defendant then hit the bed with the broom and left the room. Victim #2 then followed Defendant out of the bedroom and tried to grab the broom. Defendant then tried to again hit Victim #2 with the broom. Victim #2 pushed Defendant away and then Defendant tried to punch him. The parties were eventually able to separate. Defendant has the following prior qualified domestic violence related convictions 1. Gross misdemeanor violation of a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order on 8-21-2020 in 19WS-CR-20- 9120 2. Misdemeanor domestic assault on 7-14-2019 in 19WS-CR-19-9228 Defendant is in custody.
