On December 11, 2025, Officer Barck with the St. Francis Police Department was working TZD enforcement and observed a Dodge pickup (MN/FZN363) with an inoperable passenger side headlight. Officer Barck initiated a traffic stop near West Main Street and Ferry Street, City of Anoka, Anoka County. The driver of the vehicle M. C. B got out of the truck and said the passenger, later identified as Shaun Alika Brahs [DOB REDACTED], defendant hereinafter, had a warrant. Record checks showed defendant had an active felony DOC warrant.
Defendant was placed under arrest. In a search incident to arrest, Officers located a clear vial with a clear crystal-like substance in his right pants pocket, the substance later NIK tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed.8 grams, In defendant’s jacket pocket, Officers located a clear bag with a folded up post-it note that contained an unknown substance and a piece of tinfoil that contained a white powdery substance that later NIK tested positive for cocaine and weighted.5 grams. A counterfeit $100 bill was also located in defendant’s black bag.
Defendant has two prior convictions for 5th degree possession of controlled substance from March 2024 in Wright County (••-CR-••-••••) and April 2024 in Blue Earth County (••-CR-••-••••) and a 3rd degree sale of controlled substance from May of 2012 in Anoka County (••-CR-••-••••).
