On October 31, 2025, at 9:38 P.M. Trooper Adair responded to calls from identified citizens reporting a Toyota Camry with Minnesota license plate [PLATE REDACTED] traveling westbound on I-94 towards Monticello that was driving slowly and weaving over the fog line and lane divider line. The callers said the vehicle hit construction cones. Trooper Adair drove to the address of the registered owner at [ADDRESS REDACTED], [APT REDACTED], in Monticello, Wright County, Minnesota. Trooper Adair located the vehicle in the parking lot of the apartment complex.
A female was seated on the asphalt in the parking lot. The female was identified as Lanae Marie Dengerud, [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein. Trooper Adair identified the defendant as the driver of the vehicle the identified callers had reported for bad driving conduct. The defendant admitted she had been driving her car home. Trooper Adair observed the defendant had urinated in her pants. The defendant said she had her last drink about an hour prior. The defendant was unable to stand up by herself due to her alcohol impairment.
The defendant had a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her. The defendant’s speech was slow, slurred and deliberate. The defendant’s eyes were glassy and bloodshot. Trooper Adair determined the defendant had driven while under the influence of alcohol and arrested her. On the way to the squad car, the defendant was unsteady while standing and walking. After being read the Minnesota Breath Test Advisory, the defendant agreed to take a breath test. A breath test was administered on the DMT resulting in an alcohol concentration of.21 at 10:12 P.M.
