On November 10, 2025, a Golden Valley Police Department officer was notified of a past action theft at the Amazon facility located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] North in Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The officer was informed by Amazon loss prevention employee P. K., that a delivery driver named Luis Jose Aciniegas Matey [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, arrived on October 3, 2025, transferred 47 packages to a red Mazda sedan, and did not deliver any of the packages. Loss prevention provided surveillance of Defendant arriving in the red Mazda, checking in to Amazon's system, grabbing the cart with the 47 packages, placing the packages into his Mazda, bringing the cart back into the facility, and leaving with the packages in his car.
Loss prevention also provided GPS tracking of where Defendant went after leaving with the packages. The GPS tracking did not show him delivering any of the packages. Rather it showed Defendant went directly to his apartment. Loss prevention also supplied summaries of interviews with Defendant. Defendant told loss prevention he no longer had the packages, but agreed to pay Amazon the cost of the packages. The total value of the packages taken was $2,481.96. Mail sent to Defendant's address was returned as undeliverable and Defendant's current address is unknown.
For that reason, the State requests the Complaint issue as a Warrant.
