On January 7, 2026, Minnetonka Police Department officers received a report of a recent theft occurring at a store located on the 13000 block of Ridgedale Drive in Minnetonka, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The reporting party noted that an individual known to them as LESLIE GENE ROBINSON, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant entered the store with another individual, later identified as RACHEL HOWARD ROBINSON, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Co-Defendant. Defendant and Co-Defendant met in the back of the store at which time Co-Defendant picked up a Sonos Arc Soundbar from the store shelves.
Defendant engaged a store employee while Co-Defendant walked away from the area with the selected item in her possession. Shortly after Co-Defendant walked away, Defendant selected a Sonos Port speaker from the store shelves and walked out of the area. Defendant and Co-Defendant exited the store with the aforementioned items in their possession, passing all points of sale without making any attempts to pay for said items. Defendant and Co-Defendant did not have permission to take the items without first providing payment.
The loss to the store for the items removed by Defendant and Co-Defendant is approximately $1,599. Defendant has five pending felony theft cases in Hennepin County and several other cases in surrounding counties. The State believes the continued activity of Defendant poses a risk to public safety. The State respectfully requests this complaint issue via warrant.
