On December 2, 2025, at approximately 1:00 A.M., police responded to an apartment complex located at [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota. The dispatch comments indicated that a male had a machete and threatened to kill the complainant. Police responded to the same apartment earlier that evening on a report that neighbors were arguing. Both parties were advised to stay in their apartments. Police did not observe the suspect, ANTHONY ANTONIO PITT – [DOB REDACTED], in the hallway.
Police went to the apartment of the complainant, BJS. BJS said PITT threatened her with a large knife that she described as black with wedges on it and was like a machete. Police inquired about what transpired since they left. BJS reported that her cousin, who lives down the hall, was going to come over. BJS said that she had her door open and was holding it for her cousin when she saw PITT. BJS told police that PITT held a knife behind his back while looking at BJS and said, “I will kill you.” BJS reported being very scared.
When asked if PITT brandished the knife, BJS responded that she only saw the knife behind PITT and down by his side. Police located PITT down the hallway. PITT resisted initially but was detained. In PITT’s pocket, police located a small box with a crystal-like rock of suspected narcotics. Near where police took PITT into custody, police located a knife wedged in the chair in the hall. The knife matched the description of the knife BJS reported seeing in PITT’s hand. Police spoke with a resident in the apartment BJS identified as her cousin’s. The resident, who did not want to be identified, reported that she heard noise coming from the hallway, so she looked out and saw PITT yelling at BJS while holding a machete in his hand.
The resident reported hearing PITT say, “I’ll kill you b****,” while waiving the machete around. At approximately 9:26 A.M., the investigator went to speak with PITT at the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center. PITT was visibly emotional and crying as he entered the interview room. Following a Miranda advisory, PITT reported that he was in his apartment when he heard someone hit his apartment door, but when he opened the door, no one was there. PITT stated that he wanted to have a cigarette but feared for his life so grabbed his “little sword”. PITT reported that he had his cigarette then was coming back up when he was arrested by police.
PITT said she called the police on him. When asked who “she” was, PITT responded that it was BJS and P (last name unknown). PITT said P saw him with his sword when he was going out for a cigarette and asked what he was doing with his sword. PITT responded that he was doing nothing and was tired of BJS. PITT stated that BJS has her family trying to hurt him. PITT reported that he has a long history dealing with BJS, and that BJS threatened to kill him multiple times in the past and stolen many things from him.
