On January 22, 2026, at approximately 11:02 hours, officers with the Brooklyn Park Police Department received a criminal sexual conduct report that had just occurred at a residence located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Officers made contact with the adult female victim, who reported that a male had sexually assaulted her at that location. The victim [NAME REDACTED] had communicated with a male through an online platform and agreed to meet him at his residence.
The victim traveled to [ADDRESS REDACTED] and was directed by the male to park in the garage and enter the home. Once inside, the male led the victim to a basement bedroom and closed the door behind them. Within minutes of entering the room, the male asked the victim to show him her buttocks. The victim complied. The male then removed his own clothing and exposed his penis. The victim reported that the male immediately became physically aggressive. The victim stated that the male grabbed her in the area of her buttocks and vagina over her clothing and attempted to pull her pants down.
The victim told the male to stop and attempted to leave. The male then used physical force in an attempt to bring the victim [NAME REDACTED]. The victim [NAME REDACTED] attempting to take her legs out from under her and tackle her to the floor. The victim reported that the male continued grabbing at her genital area while using force to take her to the ground. The victim was taken to the floor during the struggle, at which point the male got on top of her body. The victim continued to tell the male to stop.
The victim physically resisted the male by striking him and grabbing his genital area. The victim was ultimately able to break free from the male’s grasp and force him to move toward the exit. The victim [NAME REDACTED], entered her vehicle, and left the scene. The victim [NAME REDACTED] incident to police shortly thereafter. The victim later positively identified the suspect as BOSCO BOSSOU SOROPOGUI [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, in a photographic lineup as the individual who assaulted her. On January 26, 2026, just four days after this incident, a separate adult female reported a similar assault involving the same defendant at the same residence, [ADDRESS REDACTED]. In that incident, the female reported it after meeting Defendant online and going to his home.
After the female refused sex, Defendant blocked her exit, grabbed her around the neck, and used physical force against her as she attempted to leave. The female was ultimately able to escape and later positively identified Defendant as the individual who assaulted her. Defendant is not in custody.
