On September 21, 2025, Anoka County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division received a report of a criminal sexual conduct incident which occurred in the City of Nowthen, Anoka County at a treatment facility located on Saint Francis Boulevard earlier that day. A thirteen-year-old female, Child A, reported she was feeling suicidal and had choked herself earlier that morning. While officers were speaking to her about the attempted suicide, Child A reported a staff member had touched her that morning while she was at the facility.
Child A identified the staff member as Peter Villareale Jr. ([DOB redacted]), Defendant herein. Defendant had given Child A a green vape pen with THC in it. Child A asked Defendant if she should get naked, and he initially said no, but then said yes. Child A “got naked,” and Defendant and Child A made out while he digitally penetrated her vaginal area. Following her disclosure, Child A was transported to Mercy Hospital and underwent a SANE examination. Child A disclosed the same story to nursing staff with additional detail regarding the digital penetration, stating that Defendant's fingers started on the outer part of her vagina and then slowly moved inside of her vagina.
Child A also stated Defendant allowed her to watch porn on his cell phone on an application called, “Monkey App.” Child A also stated Defendant put his mouth on her boobs. Swabs were collected from both of Child A’s breasts and her vaginal area. The two breast swabs tested positive for the presence of Amylase or “saliva” with a major male profile that matched Defendant. Security footage from the facility confirmed Defendant was in Child A’s room with the door closed during the time of the allegations.
During a forensic interview, Child A confirmed her initial report with the additional details that she also touched Defendant’s penis, and stated Defendant had touched her vagina while he was inside her room putting her on her bed. Officers interviewed Defendant two times. During the first interview, Defendant confirmed he was working and interacted with Child A during the time of the alleged assault. He stated Child A told him she was not feeling well and asked him to call 911 and mentioned wanting to kill herself.
Defendant said he called his boss, “Darien” who told him to stay with Child A and talk to her. Defendant said he stayed by Child A’s door in her room and talked to her, with the door closed until Child A got up and opened it herself. Child A then fell several times and he picked her up by her arms and set her in her bed before covering her up and shutting the door again. Defendant said Child A left her room and followed him to the office area while requesting he call 911 until he grabbed the phone from her and threw it.
