On April 30, 2026, police responded to United Hospital regarding a report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, police spoke with ASA, who told police that she was assaulted by HENRY LUMON TELLIS – [DOB REDACTED], with whom she has been in a four-year romantic relationship with and shares two children. ASA reported that the previous day (April 29), she was driving on Interstate 94 in St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, when she got into an argument with TELLIS, who was seated behind her in the vehicle.
ASA said the argument continued until she pulled over and ordered him out of the car. ASA stated that TELLIS refused then pushed her face with his right hand and kept pushing her face until his fingers went into her mouth. ASA reported that she bit his fingers then they pushed each other until TELLIS punched her on the left side of her face with a closed fist. ASA’s mother, who was also a passenger in the vehicle, separated them, and they agreed to get off the highway and let TELLIS out somewhere else.
ASA reported that TELLIS grabbed a cologne bottle that he found in the rear of the vehicle and threw it at her, striking her on the right side of her jaw and causing her to bleed from her jaw and inside her mouth. ASA said she drove to Wendy’s at Dale Street and University Avenue and ordered TELLIS out of the vehicle again. ASA stated that TELLIS refused and took her phone. When ASA’s mom called police, TELLIS returned the phone and left Wendy’s on foot. ASA told police that she went to United Hospital the following day (April 30) due to severe pain on the right side of her jaw that was not alleviated by using home medications.
ASA reported that doctors informed her that her jaw was broken from TELLIS throwing the cologne bottle at her. ASA stated that she was on a liquid diet and needed to see a specialist for the injury to her jaw caused by TELLIS. ASA reported that TELLIS does not live with her and does not have a permanent address. ASA said TELLIS gets mail at his mother’s house, but she does not know the address. Police observed the injury on the right side of ASA’s jaw as well as swelling on the left side of ASA’s face where TELLIS punched her.
