On June 7, 2026, at approximately 19:37 hours, Minneapolis Police Department officers were dispatched to a Domestic with Weapons at [ADDRESS REDACTED], City of Minneapolis, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota. Officers arrived and located a vehicle with a male, Victim DBV, sitting in the driver's seat. Victim DBV had a blue rag wrapped around his forearm and a small smear of blood on his left cheek. The blue rag had blood spots, and there were additional spots on his shirt. Victim DBV did not speak English, so Language Line was utilized to speak with him.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] was with a woman that he only knew by the name of "Arianna." They were in the back seat of his car when his girlfriend and mother of his children, Diana Yessenina Sanchez Poma, [DOB REDACTED] (now referred to as "Defendant"), showed up and opened one of the rear passenger doors while holding a knife. Defendant was angry and started to attack them. Victim DBV attempted to restrain Defendant to prevent her from harming him and Arianna. In the midst of this, he was cut on the forearm by Defendant.
The altercation occurred in the doorway of the car. At some point the knife got loose and Victim [NAME REDACTED] into his car to prevent Defendant from retrieving it. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was afraid when they were being attacked. Victim DBV did not believe the female he was with had been injured because he blocked the attack. Officers observed that the cut on Victim DBV's left forearm was approximately 1.5 in long and appeared to expose a small amount of tissue. Victim DBV did not want to be seen by EMS and did not want to pursue charges.
Victim DBV stated that his relationship with Defendant is toxic and in the past, she has controlled him by harming herself and threatening to call the police on him. Officers located Defendant who stated she found Victim DBV with another girl getting physical in his vehicle. Defendant stated she opened the door and confronted the two in the back seat. Defendant confirmed she pulled out a large knife and stabbed Victim DBV in the arm and the female party in the face and neck. Defendant stated the knife was now in the back seat of the vehicle.
Officers located a large brown handled knife with some blood on it as well as blood on the back seat of the vehicle. While speaking with Defendant, officers observed she was staring at Victim DVB at his car with other officers. Defendant asked if they could leave now because she felt like she was going to do something she would regret if we stayed. When I asked what she felt like she stated she felt like she wanted to kill Victim DBV. 2 ••-CR-••-•••• Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 6/9/2026 "Adrianna" was not immediately located.
Defendant is currently in custody at the Hennepin County Jail.
