On October 14, 2025, at approximately 12:00 A.M., officers of the Metro Transit Police Department were clearing the light rail warehouse near 5th Street South, and 1st Avenue North, City of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, when a male in a wheelchair, later identified as NOCKIEL QUINTAI RANDLE [DOB REDACTED], DEFENDANT herein, approached officers requesting assistance. As DEFENDANT approached, officers observed DEFENDANT to be looking over his shoulder and reaching within his pockets as if manipulating concealed objects.
Officers directed DEFENDANT to remove his concealed hand, but he did not comply. Concerned for their immediate safety, officers detained DEFENDANT and while pulling DEFENDANT’s arm from the pocket, officers felt from the outside of the jacket a hard object similar to a firearm. Once DEEFENDANT’s arm was fully removed from the pocket, officers could visibly see the handle to a firearm. DEFENDANT was placed under arrest and officers retrieved from the pocket a Taurus G3C semi-automatic pistol (S/N #AGJ419898). A check of DEFENDANT’s identification revealed he was wanted on a felony arrest warrant.
Officers also discovered that DEFENDANT was a prohibited person and not permitted to carry or possess firearms or ammunition. DEFENDANT has the following prior conviction or adjudication for a crime of violence and is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition: (1) Aggravated Robbery, 1st Degree (EJJ), 12/22/2006. DEFENDANT has been previously convicted of being a Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm in 27-CR-13-20871 on 12/30/2013. DEFENDANT is presently in custody in relation to 27-CR-25-31836; accordingly the State requests a complaint warrant issue to be served in-custody.
