Probable Cause
On 04/04/2026 at about 1558 hours, Ramsey County Deputies responded to the Walmart at [ADDRESS REDACTED] E East in Vadnais Heights, Ramsey County on a report that a male wearing a black and gray jacket had followed the complainant out of the store, tried to open the complainant’s car door, and then stood behind the complainant’s car preventing him from leaving. Deputies found the suspect, later identified as Trevor John KURVERS [DOB REDACTED], in the Target parking lot at [ADDRESS REDACTED] E East.
KURVERS was unsteady on his feet and appeared to be under the influence. KURVERS, who was slurring his words, said he thought the vehicle he tried to get into at Walmart belonged to his friend. Having decided that no crime had been committed, Deputies tried to help KURVERS get a ride home. After several failed attempts to call someone to help KURVERS, including trying to order an Uber, Deputies offered to give KURVERS a courtesy ride to his address in St. Paul. KURVERS agreed. A Deputy explained to KURVERS that they had to pat him down for weapons before he could get into the squad.
During the pat down, Deputies found a handgun in KURVER’s jacket pocket. The handgun came back as stolen. KURVERS does not have a valid permit to carry a firearm. KURVERS was convicted of a felony 5th- degree drug possession on 10/31/24 (70-CR-24-15044) making him ineligible to possess a firearm.
