On or about August 14, 2025, officers from the Coon Rapids police department responded to a delayed assault in the city of Coon Rapids, Anoka County, MinnesotA.M. R. P., the victim hereinafter, reported that the day prior, on or about August 13, 2025, he and MAURICE ALEXANDER NITTI [DOB REDACTED], were at his home in Coon Rapids when the victim made a joke about Defendant’s mother. Defendant then became upset and struck him on the side of the head with a closed fist. The victim [NAME REDACTED] on the floor, and Defendant began kicking him in the ribs, the knee, and the hand.
The victim reported he then fell unconscious or asleep. When the victim awoke, he observed Defendant on his couch with the victim’s firearm in his lap. The victim [NAME REDACTED] was making vague threats while waving the firearm around. Defendant then dropped the firearm and later left the home. Officers created a photo lineup, and the victim positively identified Defendant as the suspect. Officers reviewed security footage from the victim’s room that confirmed Defendant was at the residence during the time of the assault and that Defendant retrieved the handgun from the victim’s room.
A review of Defendant’s Snapchat appears to show a video of the victim on the ground following the assault. Defendant’s Snapchat message also stated, “[t]alk s*** bout moms get laid out”. Further Snapchat messages included a conversation with another user where Defendant says “Had to put homie down” “He was talkin s*** bout moms”. The other account replies, “Wait what you punched him?!” to which Defendant responds, “Yup had too”. The victim [NAME REDACTED] at Mercy Hospital and was diagnosed with three fractured ribs, as well as bruising and redness to his face, knee, and hand.
