Jaidyn Wayne Langley

On April 10, 2025, two Correctional Officers ("CO") at Minnesota Correctional Facility – Rush City responded to cell 141 to speak with inmate Jaidyn Wayne Langley [DOB REDACTED], herein Defendant, regarding an issue within the prison. This facility is located in Rush City, Chisago County Minnesota. CO #1 and CO #2 approached cell 141 and opened the door to have Defendant exit the cell. Defendant exited the cell. As CO #1 closed the cell door, Defendant struck CO #1 with a closed fist in the right side of CO #1's head, as CO #1 was turning away to close the cell door.

This is considered a sucker punch, as Defendant struck CO #1 when he was turned away. Defendant then attempted to run away from both CO #1 and CO #2. The punch temporarily stunned CO #1. CO #1, CO #2, and CO #2 caught up with Defendant a short distance away and attempted to restrain Defendant. Defendant punched CO #2 multiple times in the head. Defendant further punched CO #3 multiple times in the head. CO #2 and CO #3 restrained Defendant with the assistance of chemical irritants. CO #1 sustained an acute nondisplaced fracture of the right mandibular ramus from being struck by Defendant.

CO #2 had redness on his face and neck due to being struck, which was visible to others. CO #3 had redness behind her left ear, as well as a small amount of dried blood, both of which was visible to others.
