All of the conduct described herein occurred within the County of St. Louis, State of Minnesota, unless otherwise noted. On October 31, 2025, officers were dispatched to a residence in Chisholm, Minnesota, on a report of a physical domestic. The report came from a juvenile, who stated her father was being attacked by his girlfriend's son, later identified as Karl Sigeurd Lindahl, hereafter Defendant. Upon arrival to the area, officers were flagged down by a male driver, later identified as J. H., hereafter Victim.
Officers noted Victim [NAME REDACTED] on his face and his right index finger was bleeding. Victim stated when he came home Defendant assaulted him and bit him on his finger. Based on this, officers entered the residence, located Defendant, and detained him. Officers noted Defendant had a large abrasion above his right eye. Officers then located Victim's children, who were in the residence. Both children stated they heard the Defendant and Victim arguing, but they did not see any of what occurred.
Officers then returned to Victim to get a more detailed statement. Victim stated that he dropped off his girlfriend, Defendant's mother, and then returned to the residence. Victim was watching a movie when Defendant arrived at the residence. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had been angry with Victim, based on his belief that Victim was abusing Defendant's mother. Defendant then got close to Victim and started hitting and touching him. Victim [NAME REDACTED] went to tell his children to pack their stuff and get ready to leave.
Victim [NAME REDACTED], punched him, and threw him to the ground. Defendant then punched him multiple times. Victim later stated that while he was on the ground, Defendant was choking him. Officers noted Victim [NAME REDACTED] on his neck, consistent with his version of events. Victim stated Defendant choked him with his left hand and that this caused Victim to be unable to breathe. Victim confirmed that both he and Defendant reside at the residence together. Officers spoke with Defendant. Officers noted Defendant had blood on his hand, as well as having blood on his face, with an injury above his eye.
Defendant claimed that Victim had not been nice to his mom, and this has been a long time coming. Defendant claimed Victim [NAME REDACTED], and Defendant put him down. Defendant continued to state his belief that Victim was harming his mom and that Victim [NAME REDACTED] from his mom. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
