06/23/1976) and Adult Male A. Deputy Buboltz observed Adult Male A sitting in a chair with a female holding a rag to his head. There was blood on the floor from Adult Male A’s head in the bathroom, where Adult Male A was initially located. In the bathroom, there was a towel that had small blood spots on it in the sink. There was also a folded towel in the sink and another one that appeared to be clean but not folded. Deputy Buboltz took pictures of Adult Male A’s left ear and upper forehead area on the right side.
Deputy Buboltz observed Adult Male A’s inner left ear to be dark purple and bright red blood to be coming out of the inside of his ear. His ear appeared to be swelling. There were also a couple spots on his earlobe that were dark purple. Adult Male A’s upper forehead on the right side had a cut on it that was also bleeding. The strands of hair by the cut were full of blood. There was dried blood on the side of his head near his eyebrow. Adult Male A was holding a black and white Harley Davidson hat that also had spots of blood on it.
His right hand appeared to have fresh blood on it. Adult Male A stated that he went into the bathroom. HOLIEN followed Adult Male A into the bathroom and used the facility. As Adult Male A was getting ready to walk out the door, HOLIEN started hitting Adult Male A and Adult Male A fell to the ground. HOLIEN stood over Adult Male A and hit him three to four, maybe five more times. The next thing Adult Male A knew, he was coming to while lying on the floor in the bathroom. Adult Male A was disoriented.
Adult Male A was located in the bathroom by Bryce Steven Thorp [DOB REDACTED]. Thorp observed blood coming out of Adult Male A’s ear. Thorp asked Adult Male A if he was okay. Adult Male A did not respond. Thorp did see HOLIEN go into the bathroom. Additional witnesses at the bar also observed HOLIEN go into the bathroom and leave the bar quickly after. Additional witnesses entered the bathroom. Adult Male A was observed with his head by the urinal and his feet towards the sink. Both of Adult Male A’s hearing aids were out of his ears laying on the ground.
The left hearing aid was broken. Adult Male A was disoriented and needed help getting up off the ground. Adult Male A went to the emergency department. 2 34-CR-26-49 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 1/23/2026 Deputy Buboltz reviewed video footage of HOLIEN leaving The Handle Bar approximately one minute after coming out of the bathroom. HOLIEN was located in his home and arrested. HOLIEN provided a PTB of.231. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
