On April 10, 2026, officers responded to a reported theft at the Brooklyn Center Liquor Store located in Brooklyn Center, Hennepin County, Minnesota. A store manager reported that a male, known to them as James Leon Combs [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, came to the store, entered an employee's-only area, took a case of vodka valued at $239.55 and exited the store without paying for the vodka. The Defendant was not permitted to enter the employee-only area and a sign was posted. The Defendant was known to store management for multiple previous thefts where the Defendant engaged in the same conduct - going to the employees-only section of the store and stealing large quantities of alcohol and leaving without paying for the items.

Officers confirmed the identity of the Defendant. The Defendant was not located in the area near the store and is not in custody.
