On March 13, 2026, at approximately 7:39 PM, Carver County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of an assault at a trailer park in Watertown, Carver County, Minnesota. The reporting party, MV, stated that there was a fight occurring in the street outside of her residence. Specifically, two males were yelling at each other, and one of the men, later identified as NATHAN PAUL MEYER [DOB REDACTED], grabbed a tent stake and swung it multiple times at the other male. Prior to deputies arriving on scene, MV reported that the fight had stopped, and the involved males had walked away from the scene.
Deputies Griffith and Vivas responded to the trailer park. Deputy Griffith arrived and spoke with JB, an adult male fully identified in police reports. Deputy Griffith observed JB to have visible injuries to his left hand and there was an orange metal tent stake lying in the roadway. JB stated that he had been at MV’s residence when Meyer arrived and caused a disturbance. MV asked the men to leave her residence, and the men began an argument in the roadway outside. While outside, Meyer grabbed the metal stake out of MV’s garden and swung it multiple times at JB with a closed fist.
JB reported that he was fearful of being injured by Meyer during the altercation. MV reported the same sequence of events. Specifically, MV saw Meyer swing the stake on JB but did not observe him strike JB. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49., intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
