On October 14, 2025, officers of the Coon Rapids Police Department responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED], Coon Rapids, Anoka County, regarding an unwanted person in a vehicle in the parking lot. The male was sitting in the driver’s seat and was slumped over with his head near his lap. In plain view was a metal tin with tinfoil and other items consistent with narcotics and narcotic use. The male was identified as JESSE TATE BUTLER [DOB REDACTED], Defendant hereinafter. Defendant exited the vehicle and admitted the tin contained methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Inside the tin officers found a glass bottle with a white powdery substance and a plastic baggie with a folded piece of paper containing a crystal-like substance. Defendant was taken into custody. Midwest Lab testing confirmed the substances positive for.198 grams of fentanyl and.603 grams of methamphetamine. Defendant has no prior drug-related convictions.
