Kaitlin Jane Delmore

On 02/25/2026 at approximately 1326 hours, Maple Grove police responded to a theft at Plato's Closet located at 13608 80th Circle, Maple Grove, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Police arrived on scene and learned the theft had occurred approximately 30-minutes prior. The suspect, later identified as KAITLIN JANE DELMORE [DOB REDACTED], entered the store, selected numerous items and went into the fitting room. When DELMORE was in the fitting room, staff heard crunching/breaking sounds coming from the fitting room.

DELMORE then exited the fitting room with items, bypassed all points of sale, and was attempting to leave the store with the unpaid merchandise in her arms. A staff member at the door grabbed the unpaid merchandise from DELMORE. DELMORE then left the scene. In the fitting room that DELMORE had used, staff located a sweatshirt that DELMORE had left in there. Inside the pocket of the sweatshirt was a broken electronic security device. While staff was reviewing video footage, they learned that DELMORE had dropped a pair of pliers when she was selecting clothing.

The total amount of clothing that DELMORE had attempted to steal was $193.00. The pieces of the security senor that DELMORE broke was property inventoried as evidence. The business was requesting charges and DELMORE to be trespassed. Defendant is not in custody for this offense.
