On April 8, 2026, S. S. Reported to School Resource Officer Beth Jutting that on the evening of April 4th she, M. M. (DOB: xx/xx/2012)(13 years of age), hereafter “Victim”, and A. S. Gathered together at a residence located on 4th Avenue South in Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota. S. S. Reported that an individual later identified as Monte Diedrick ([DOB redacted]), hereafter “Defendant” met with the three at the Moorhead residence at approximately 12am on April 5, 2026. The Defendant brought tequila that he, Victim and A. S. Drank.
S. S. Further reported that while the three were hanging out the Defendant had sexual intercourse with the Victim. S. S. Reported observing the Defendant perform oral sex on the Victim. It was at that time S. S. Left the room. When S. S. Reentered the room she observed the Defendant, Victim, and A. S. Nude lying on the bed. S. S. Reported that at one point, the Defendant was positioned on top of M. M. And it appeared as though they were engaged in penile-vaginal intercourse. S. S. Reported leaving the residence at approximately 6am on April 5th.
S. S. Indicated that the individuals met the Defendant through the Victim. The Victim had added the Defendant on snapchat and had been communicating with the Defendant for approximately three weeks. S. S. Was adamant that the Defendant was aware of everyone’s ages. On April 10, 2026, Detective Joseph Secord of the Moorhead Police spoke with A. S. Who reported that the Victim had met the Defendant on snapchat and invited him to the Moorhead residence in the early morning hours of April 5, 2026. A. S. Believed the Defendant had arrived at the residence at approximately 3am and had left at 5am.
A. S. Reported observing the Defendant having sexual intercourse with the Victim while they were at the residence. A. S. Reported the Defendant had cleaned himself up with the Victim’s sweatpants. The sweatpants were collected by law enforcement. A forensic interview with the Victim was conducted at the Red River Children’s Advocacy Center on April 10, 2026. At the forensic interview the Victim disclosed that she, A. S. And S. S. Were hanging out at the Moorhead address on April 4-5 when she invited the Defendant to hang out with them.
She disclosed that the Defendant knew how old the girls were as they had discussed their ages with him. The Defendant is more than 36 months older than the Victim. The Victim further reported that while they were hanging out, she had sexual intercourse with the Defendant. The Victim reported the Defendant’s penis and fingers entering her vagina. Law enforcement identified the Defendant initially via a Facebook profile. S. S. Confirmed the profile photograph matched the Defendant. Law enforcement then searched the TLO database and located a driver’s license and compared that photograph to the Facebook profile.
