On 12/06/2025 at about 1416 hours, Roseville Police took a report of child abuse. The complainant, MAE, said that his ex-wife, Antoinette Marie NAILON ([DOB REDACTED]), is the mother of six year old girl, ST, and the two currently live at the Key Inn Motel ([ADDRESS REDACTED] N) in Roseville, Ramsey County. MAE said that on Friday, 12/05/2025, at about 1500 hours he received Facebook messages from NAILON. The messages said ST “has to die." He also received voice memos from NAILON in which NAILON said ST needed to die.
Police reviewed the messages. In one voice memo, NAILON can be heard telling ST "you gotta go the f*** away, you gotta go away." ST responded "No, you can’t kill me, you can’t kill your own daughter." ST then said "please don’t kill me, don't come to my bed". ST then told NAILON "go back to sleep” and "I wanna skip school, cuz you hurted me". NAILON is then heard crying and sobbing uncontrollably. After a few moments NAILON said "I'm so sorry” and ST asked "you killed me?” ST asked NAILON if she still loves her, and NAILON said "I do love you, but the only way I can get rid of Daddy is to let.you gotta go." ST responded, "I'm your daughter, you can’t kill me." ST then begged and pleaded for NAILON not to kill her.
ST said "please I am begging you, you can’t hurt me, I'm your real daughter, I’ll be nice for you." Near the end of the voice memo, NAILON is heard crying and sobbing uncontrollably and saying "I tried to smother her a couple minutes ago, please somebody come get her, I just tried to smother her, I just tried to f****** smother her". MAE said that when he heard the messages he immediately went to the Key Inn and took ST. He said ST had a cut above her eyebrow that looked like a fresh wound. ST said she got injured at school the day before, but MAE did not believe her.
When MAE asked ST what happened at the Key Inn, ST said "Mom tried to kill me" but did not provide details. MAE brought ST to her biological grandmother’s house. Police notified CPS, tried unsuccessfully to locate NAILON, and issued a KOPS alert. On 12/6/25 ST’s grandmother brought ST to Children’s Hospital. They were met there by a CPS worker. Among other things, hospital staff noted that ST had a cut on her left eyebrow and an abrasion on her right cheek. The CPS worker told police that the injury above ST’s eye would likely have needed stitches if she had been seen immediately.
On 12/8/25, police spoke with the principal at ST’s school who said there was no record of ST sustaining any injuries at school or of ST reporting an injury to the school's health office during the week of December 1. On 12/8/25 CPS conducted an interview with NAILON at North Memorial Hospital. Police then arrested NAILON, seized her cell phone, and transported her to the LEC. During a forensic interview with ST at MCRC in St. Paul on 12/9/25, ST replied "I don't know" to nearly every question asked.
