On March 26, 2026, officers were dispatched to MSP Airport Terminal 2 Lightrail station, Hennepin County, Minnesota, on a report of a stolen bag. Video surveillance showed a female taking the bag. The officers recognized the female to be KATHRYN LYNN RILEY, DEFENDANT herein, as she was trespassed from the airport earlier in the day. The victim reported that his bag contained a Hewlett-Packard laptop valued at $1,026, a laptop charger, a key fob for a 2026 Dodge Durango, and others business-related items.
The DEFENDANT was located by Metro Transit police and the items were recovered. The DEFENDANT did not have permission to take the items. The DEFENDANT is currently in custody.
