Fridley Police received a report from Ashley Furniture investigator S. Y. V. That on 6/29/2025 a person had made a furniture order at the Ashley Furniture store located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] NE, Fridley, Anoka County. The total of the order was $1,210.97. The name on the order was Aden Sharif. This individual was later identified as Aden Jama Sharif [DOB REDACTED], Defendant hereinafter. On 7/3/2025 a black male picked up the order. However, a charge back dispute was received by Ashley Furniture on 8/13/2025, meaning that they did not receive payment for the order that was picked up.

Law enforcement compared the security video of the furniture pickup on 7/3 and the DVS photo of the Defendant and the photos matched. Detectives executed a search warrant of the Defendnats residence and located the merchandise from Ashley Furniture. At no time did Ashley Furniture consent to the merchandise being taken without payment.
