On December 5, 2025, officers with the Bloomington Police Department responded to the area of 90th Street and 35W in Bloomington, Hennepin County, Minnesota following reports of a woman walking around near the highway with blood on her face. Upon arrival, officers located the woman and identified her as S. F. (herein Victim). Victim appeared to have been severely beaten. Victim’s face was so swollen that it was difficult for her to speak and difficult for officers to understand what she was saying.
She was bleeding from multiple different injuries to her face, and her left eye was completely swollen shut. Victim was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to the hospital. An investigator took a statement from Victim at the hospital. The investigator observed numerous facial injuries and noted that Victim was crying and obviously in significant pain. Victim stated that her ex- boyfriend, M. S., got into an argument with her over a cell phone while they were outside of a storage facility in Bloomington.
Victim tried to leave the area in her vehicle, but a female suspect who was with M. S. Then struck Victim in the face multiple times with some kind of baton or club. The female suspect was subsequently identified as JELORA JADE CLARK; [DOB redacted] (herein Defendant). Doctors at the hospital indicated that Victim had a fracture on the left side of her orbital bone as well as a fractured jaw. She was also diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, a closed fracture of the left zygomatic arch, a closed fracture of the left maxillary sinus, laceration of the right eye, and traumatic injury to the retinae of the left eye.
Victim was referred to a plastic surgeon and facial trauma expert for consultation regarding facial reconstruction surgery. M. S. Was eventually located and gave a statement to police. In the statement, he admitted that he and Victim had an ongoing dispute over his cell phone. On the day of the assault, M. S. Was arguing over the phone with Victim about getting his phone back. Victim said that she was going to be at the storage facility in Bloomington. M. S. Was with the Defendant during the phone call, and the Defendant indicated that she wanted to get involved and help get M. S.’s phone back.
M. S. Said that he decided to bring the Defendant along because he knew that she could go “hands on” if things got physical. M. S. And the Defendant were driven to the storage facility by L. T. Who dropped them off at the back of the facility so that they could “sneak attack” the Victim. As M. S. Was trying to get his phone back from Victim, the Defendant approached Victim with a “billy club” and struck Victim hard directly in the fact multiple times. M. S. Described the first strike with the club as “brutal.” M. S. And the Defendant then retreated to the vehicle they came in, and L. T. Drove them away from the areA.M. S. Stated that the group was using methamphetamine that evening.
