On November 17, 2025, LASHELLE DIONNE COLEMAN [DOB REDACTED] and WHITNEY ROSHAUN HINES [DOB REDACTED] went to Macy’s at 1595 Highway 36 West, Roseville, Ramsey County. Coleman and Hines arrived together in Coleman’s Chevrolet Traverse bearing Minnesota license plates SCA386. They went to the fragrance department where they selected fragrance sets valued at $2350 and left the store together without paying for the items. Coleman and Hines left the mall in Coleman’s Traverse. The theft was caught on surveillance video.
Hines has a distinct tattoo on the right side of her neck that led to her identification. An investigator spoke to DC who frequently got dropped off at his mall workplace by the Traverse. DC identified Coleman as one of the thieves. An officer spoke to Coleman on the phone. Coleman admitted committing the theft. Coleman said she stole the items because of financial strain due to the upcoming holiday season. Coleman refused to identify the other thief saying she only knew her as Daysia. Further investigation showed that Coleman and Hines have mutual friends on Facebook.
Hines has 7 prior felony convictions: arson in the second degree, 2 check forgeries, theft > $5000, burglary in the second degree, and possession of shoplifting gear.
