Hussein Muhumed Abdi

On December 16, 2025, law enforcement responded to an address on the 2900 block of Blaisdell Ave S in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, on a report of a stabbing. The 911 caller was identified as HUSSEIN MUHUMED ABDI, Defendant herein. On arrival, law enforcement was met by Defendant, who showed them a very minor laceration on his arm that he stated "itched." Defendant claimed that his wife and mother of his child, [NAME REDACTED], cut him with a knife. Officers went to the apartment and met with Victim.

Victim [NAME REDACTED] had recently been released from the hospital. Victim stated that Defendant came up behind her while she was cooking dinner, grabbed her by her neck, and made it difficult to breathe. Defendant then picked up a knife and stated he was going to kill her. Victim reported fearing for her life in this situation. Defendant scratched behind Victim's ear, this was documented. Victim's sister came to the apartment, which caused Defendant to leave. Defendant was taken into custody on scene.

EMS looked at Defendant's cut and stated that it was so minor [NAME REDACTED] was to wash it with soap and water. The knife Defendant was holding was located and photographed. Defendant is currently in custody.
