Jermaine Marcelle Gorman

On March 11, 2026, at approximately 8:48 A.M., Saint Paul Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Park Street, Saint Paul, County of Ramsey, on a Domestic Assault. The suspect was gone when officers arrived. Officers arrived and found MC outside with two men. The men were providing MC with blankets because they saw her outside and wanted to know if she needed help. Officers went to MC’s apartment with her. MC said she was assaulted by her on and off again boyfriend of over twenty years, JERMAINE MARCELLE GORMAN, [DOB REDACTED]. MC said that last night, GORMAN was out drinking with his cousins.

He called her at 3:00 A.M. And asked her to pick him up, but she declined. At around 8:00 A.M., GORMAN showed up at the back door of her apartment building. She allowed him inside and they argued in the kitchen. She knew he had been drinking. GORMAN blocked her in the kitchen and prevented her from going to the living room where her laptop and phone were. She was working from home so she pushed past him. GORMAN went into the bedroom. They were both in the bedroom and argued. GORMAN grabbed MC’s items to leave with them.

MC shut the bedroom door behind her so that GORMAN would not leave with her belongings. GORMAN threw the laptop on the floor, grabbed her by her arms, and threw her onto the floor. She bit him on his right leg. GORMAN slammed her head onto the floor beside the laptop. She tried to escape out through the window in her bedroom but GORMAN grabbed her shirt and arms and slammed her head into the wall. GORMAN grabbed her by her throat and hair. She was able to get out of her house and go outside to alert neighbors and to call police.

GORMAN ran out of the house and left in a 2007 cream Chevrolet Monte Carlo. GORMAN left with her Michael Kors pink handbag; a tan crossbody value; an iPhone 17; three iPhone 14; iPhone 12; iPhone SE; iPad 11; housekeys, car keys, and other items inside the purses. The total value of these items is estimated at over $1,000. The 911 caller, HC, spoke to an officer. He said he heard yelling this morning at around 8:00 A.M. He heard a male yelling, “You got me fucked up, you going to keep trying me.” A few minutes later, he heard what sounded like objects being thrown around.

He could hear the male voice shouting loudly, but the female’s voice was faint. HC saw the male run out the back. The female ran out the front looking for help. MC went to Regions Hospital. In a subsequent interview with an investigator, MC said she and GORMAN have been involved in an on again/off again romantic relationship for approximately twenty years. In September 2025, she moved to Minnesota from Georgia to pursue her relationship with GORMAN. They moved into the apartment on Park Street, but the relationship fell apart.

She kicked hm out of the apartment in December 2025. MC said that during the time she was strangled, her normal breathing was not interfered with. She said her throat and both sides of her neck hurt. MC said she went to Regions Hospital where they observed damage to a carotid artery in her neck. When she spoke of the incident, MC said, “That was very scary; he was literally trying to kill me.” MC also said she was able to track one of the phones GORMAN took to an apartment building where his wife lives.
