On December 14, 2025, at around 10:32am, Fridley officers responded to Boot Barn, 254 57th Ave NE, in Fridley, Anoka County, MN, regarding a male who had committed two thefts. The store reported that at around 9:52am that day, the male stole $402.90 worth of merchandise, and again at 5:49pm, he stole another $872.93 worth of merchandise. Thus, the total value of the two thefts was $1,275.83. Fridley PD was later informed that Brooklyn PD had arrested ROBERT BRANDON COOK [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, following thefts at the Menards in Brooklyn Park.
Defendant had been driving the same vehicle in those thefts as he had in the Boot Barn thefts. Booking photos of Defendant also matched the male from the Boot Barn thefts. As of 1/23/26, Defendant is not in custody in Minnesota, according to the Statewide Supervision System, but has at least 3 active warrants. He has several pending charges, including three theft charges and a 2nd-degree felony arson charge in Hennepin County (27-CR-26-1272). He also has prior criminal convictions and delinquency adjudications for various offenses, including providing a false name to officers (27-CR-19-175) and felony domestic assault (27-CR-20-17615).
