On October 31, 2025, Oakdale police officers responded to the Fleet Farm store, City of Oakdale, Washington County, on a report of an individual attempting to pass a fraudulent check at the store. Upon arrival, Oakdale police officer D. Krinke spoke with loss prevention associate J. C. L, Jr. And learned the following: earlier on 10/31/2025, a male had entered the store, selected merchandise and attempted to pay for the items with a company check. When the store employee asked the male for his identification due to presenting a check, the male stated he did not have identification and left the store.
The male then proceeded to a white Jeep Latitude in the parking lot. Ofc. Krinke located the male in the parking lot sitting in a motor vehicle bearing a rear license plate of 1AY386. Ofc. Krinke ran this license plate and discovered it registered to a Jeep Compass out of St. Paul. The male exited the vehicle. Ofc. Krinke requested the male's name. The male identified himself as "A.M. L. [DOB REDACTED]", a real person. A review of the DVS photograph for A.M. L. Did not match the appearance of the male.
Ofc. Krinke was speaking to in the parking lot. The male was placed under arrest for providing a false name to officers. Oakdale police officer Barr arrived to assist with the search of the male. Two baggies of an apparent controlled substance were located on the male. The substance contained in one baggie, later weighed at 5.0 grams and field tested positive for methamphetamine. The substance contained in the other baggie, later weighed at.5 grams, also field tested positive for methamphetamine.
After being placed under arrest, the male advised he had ingested a controlled substance. Medical personnel arrived to care for the male. The male was identified via IBIS as SKYYLER JAMES RASK [DOB REDACTED].
