On March 7, 2026, around 2:16 P.M., law enforcement was dispatched to a residence located on the 2600 block of 110th Lane NW, Coon Rapids, Anoka County, on a report of a domestic. The reporting party, K. S., told law enforcement that Michael Anthony Harris, Jr. ([DOB redacted]), defendant herein, is her ex- boyfriend and he had been staying at her residence. She stated they got into an argument regarding the vehicles at the residence and defendant began threatening her. Defendant is not the registered owner of any of the vehicles located at K. S.’s residence.
During the argument, K. S. And defendant struggled over one of the car's keys, which caused a cut on K. S.’s finger. Defendant then threatened K. S. Stating “You’ll die.” K. S. Got into one of her vehicles in an effort to lock defendant out of it for her safety. The vehicle was a black 2013 Ford Focus (MN/RXK233). However, defendant got into the passenger seat of the car. K. S. Then left the vehicle and went into her residence and locked the door. The vehicle was running, but K. S. Had the key fob.
Defendant then drove off in the vehicle, without K. S.’s permission. The vehicle was located at a laundromat parking lot at [address omitted] NW. Coon Rapids, Anoka County, around 3:55 P.M. Defendant was found walking nearby. Defendant was arrested. In a search incident to arrest, a small clear container with an unknown powdery substance was found on his person. The substance was sent to the lab for testing. Results are pending. A knife was also found on his person. Defendant has over two prior domestic violence-related offense convictions within the last ten years which includes but is not limited to the following two offenses: (1) felony violate no contact order under Minn.
Stat. 629.75, subd. 2, in court file no. ••-CR-••-••••, conviction date of February 16, 2022 and (2) Felony Domestic Assault under Minn. Stat. 609.2242, subd. 4, in court file no. ••-CR-••-••••, conviction date of March 12, 2021.
