On March 21, 2025, Inv. Moser of the Goodhue County Sheriffs Office responded to an address in Goodhue County for a report of Witness 1 (adult male identified in police reports) finding a camera in his house that did not belong to him or others who lived in the residence. Witness 1 reported that his brother- in-law ANDREW JENS KNUDSEN [DOB REDACTED] was in their house uninvited the day prior. On March 20, at about 12:45 PM Witness 2 (adult female identified in police reports) came home with her two children, including Victim (juvenile female under 8). When they entered their home, Knudsen was in their house.
He was not supposed to be inside the house. Knudsen said he was in the house to get some eggs for a coworker. Witness 2 gave him some eggs and he left. Witness 2 then called her sister, Knudsen's wife to tell her what had just happened. She said that Knudsen had been acting strange and had put a camera in a bathroom at his residence. Witness 2 then started to look for a camera and found a black wall charger with a camera that was in the upstairs bathroom that her children used. The camera was facing the bath tub.
Knudsen was arrested in connection with the burglary and interference of privacy that happened on March 20. Subsequent to the arrest his phone was seized. During a search of the phone photos and videos of Victim using a bathroom were located. A search warrant was also executed at Knudsen's residence. A photo of Victim [NAME REDACTED]. They also located a photo of a nude male next to a nude female body with Victim's face placed over the actual female's face. Another similar photo was located, except the male's face is visible, and it is Knudsen.
Other morphed photos with juvenile females appearing to be 8-9 years old were also located. Witness 1 and 2 said that in early March they along with their children were at a hotel in Rochester, MN. Knudsen and his family were also at the hotel so that the children could play together. Knudsen's family did not get their own room and used Witness 1 and 2's. Witness 2 left the hotel and Knudsen stayed. Witness 2 noted that Knudsen was in and out of the bathroom a lot. A search of Knudsen's cell phone was done.
It was noted that the location on Knudsen's phone showed that he was at the hotel on March 8. At 9:52 AM the "DiscreetCameraApp" was started. This app is used for capturing photos and recording videos without others noticing. Multiple videos were taken at the hotel, including in the pool area, hotel room, and hotel room bathroom. It appears that Knudsen's phone was placed on a bathroom countertop and was angled towards the toilet and bathtub. Victim comes into the bathroom and uses the toilet. Knudsen then comes back into the bathroom and grabs his phone.
