On September 27, 2025, officers responded to a call for an unwanted party at a storage unit facility at [ADDRESS REDACTED], in the City of Bloomington, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota. Officers were informed that the individual, Joshua James Jasman [DOB REDACTED], had previously been evicted from the facility. Officers also learned that Jasman had rented units E570 and E652 prior to being evicted. Officers arrived and located Jasman, who was moving items into a truck. Officers observed an unsecured Specialized e-bike next to Jasman’s truck, which was parked near Jasman’s units.
Officers ran the serial number of the e-bike and learned that it had been reported stolen out of Minneapolis. Officers returned to retrieve the e-bike, and the e-bike was missing. Surveillance showed that no one had entered or left the building during the time officers were running the bike’s serial number. Officers looked inside the open top of E570 and observed the stolen e-bike. Officers arrested Jasman and located an MN ID card belonging to S. R. On his person. Officers also located the keys for the truck and E570 on Jasman’s person.
Jasman told officers that he took the e-bike because it had been lying outside all night. Officers obtained warrants for Jasman’s truck and storage lockers (E570 and E652). Inside, officers located the following items: - The stolen Specialized e-bike previously seen outside Jasman’s locker. The serial number had been removed when it was observed inside the unit. - An Aostirmotor e-bike - Mail, checks, and credit cards belonging to the S. R. Whose MN ID was located on Jasman’s person. - Multiple power tools, drillers, generators, and other assorted tools. - Multiple tool boxes - Thousands of collectible sports cards with C. R.’s name on it - Multiple additional bicycles. - Multiple pairs of shoes - Multiple TVs. On September 29, 2025, officers learned of multiple burglaries of storage units at the facility.
S. R. Reported that an air compressor, DeWalt Driver, DeWalt Nailer, a tool cabinet, numerous tools, mail in his name, and a box with C. R.’s (S. R.’s father) name on it were missing from his unit. Officers located the compressor, driver, nailer, and C. R.’s box inside E570 along with S. R.’s mail described above. S. R. Estimated the total loss from items not recovered by law enforcement to be approximately $10,509.00. M. S. And J. B. Reported that 13 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of crocs, and a 30-inch TV had been stolen from the unit.
Officers located one pair of crocs and a TV stolen from the unit inside E570 and learned that Jasman had pawed 12 pairs of shoes on September 22, 2025, at a pawn shop at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Bloomington. These shoes matched the descriptions provided by M. S. And J. B. In total, the estimated value of the property stolen from M. S. And J. B.’s locker and not recovered by law enforcement to be approximately $2,300.00. A. Y. Reported that an Aostirmotor e-bike, CAT power pack, a yellow air compressor, a scooter, and assorted clothing had been taken from his unit.
