On June 10, 2026, Saint Paul Officers were dispatched to an assault near 7XX Selby Avenue that involved shots fired. KSF spoke with an officer over FaceTime. KSF said she and FIELDS (later fully identified as ASIA CLAUDIA FIELDS, [DOB redacted]) were in jail together and shared a cell room. KSF said she asked for a different cell after FIELDS tried to sit on her lap, which she took as a sexual advance. KSF was with RJT visiting a family member at the Selby address. When they pulled up to the address, FIELDS was outside and was intoxicated.
FIELDS was upset over KSF telling other people about their interaction in jail. FIELDS wanted to fight. KSF said she was willing, but thought they were just going to fist-fight. FIELDS reached into her black purse or fanny pack, pulled out a small firearm, and fired a single round at her and RJT as they got back into RJT’s car and drove off. RJT drove her and her two young children (six and four years old) back to their apartment. RJT said she arrived at 7XX Selby Avenue to meet up with family members and her girlfriend, KSF. RJT observed a female outside of the apartment building named Asia (identified as FIELDS). FIELDs approached KSF to fight her.
KSF did not want to fight because her children were present. RJT, KSF, and other family members went inside the apartment building. Shortly after, they went outside and noticed FIELDS speaking with KSF. FIELDS wanted to fight KSF. RJT got in between KSF and FIELDS, and told FIELDS to leave. FIELDS walked toward the intersection of Selby Avenue and Grotto Street North. RJT and KSF were walking toward her vehicle to leave when RJT heard a gunshot from the direction of where FIELDS was. RJT described the firearm as a small, colorful handgun.
FIELDS continued walking toward her. RJT entered her vehicle, and drove away. RJT observed FIELDS get into a vehicle with a male party, “Jimmy.” NMK said her sister, RJT is in a relationship with KSF. KSF and FIELDS were in the Ramsey County Jail over the weekend and were in the same cell. There were issues between the two. RJT went to the apartment. While NMK was in the shower, she heard an argument in the hallway. She went and saw FIELDS in the hallway with RJT and other females. She told the females to go outside where the argument continued between FIELDS and RJT. NMK saw FIELDS pull out a firearm and shoot toward the group.
Another witness, NAU said FIELDS began an argument with RJT and another occupant of her vehicle, and wanted to fight them. RJT and the other occupant refused to fight. FIELDS said, “I’ve got something for you.” FIELDS reached under her arm, pulled out a gun. NAU heard a gunshot. TPW and his wife, KKW, said they finished Bible study at their church. At the intersection of Grotto Street and Selby Avenue, they noticed three females in their rear-view mirror walking toward Selby Grotto Apartments at 7XX Selby Avenue.
