On December 16, 2025, at 1524 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to the 600 block of Hyacinth, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a report of a domestic assault. The caller had gone to a neighbor’s apartment to report the incident. Officers spoke to DSK, [DOB REDACTED]. She said that she and her domestic partner, Jacob Alan Lubich, [DOB REDACTED], were arguing. He became angry with her. He picked up a standing shelf unit and threatened to hit her with it. She took a swing at him to get him to retreat but she did not connect.
She went into the bedroom with their baby out of fear of Lubich. She locked the door. He broke into the bedroom and gestured with his fists as if he would hit her. He got in front of her and pushed his left fist against the right side of her face while pulling her hair with his right hand. He grabbed her throat with his right hand and squeezed, impeding her breathing. She got away from him and left the apartment with their baby. She went to her neighbor’s apartment to use the phone to call 911. Officers arrested Lubich.
In a post-Miranda interview, he acknowledged that they had an argument, and it became physical. He said that they were both throwing things and hitting each other.
