On January 9, 2026, at approximately 6:45 P.M., officers of the Minneapolis Police Department were dispatched to reports of a residential disturbance occurring at [ADDRESS REDACTED]. S., City of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Officers contacted VICTIM [NAME REDACTED] who stated that his neighbor, RICHARD LOUIS SCHNEIDER [DOB REDACTED], DEFENDANT herein, had entered his property while carrying a large stick and threated to “beat up” VICTIM. According to VICTIM, DEFENDANT stated “I’m going to f*** you up if you call the cops again and matter of fact, I’m going to f*** you up right now.” This caused VICTIM [NAME REDACTED] would cause him bodily harm and caused him to flee into his home and call the police.
DEFENDANT then began banging on VICTIM’s home and making “barking” noises. DEFENDANT struck the window to VICTIM’s basement hard enough to break the window. Officers attempted to speak with DEFENDANT who put on headphones and blasted music. Later in the evening, VICTIM again called 911 to report that DEFENDANT had again come onto his property, ripped the plastic covering on the window, and removed the remaining glass and attempted to enter VICTIM’s basement. VICTIM [NAME REDACTED]. VICTIM [NAME REDACTED] is a recent pattern of harassing behavior by DEFENDANT against VICITM and his family that has caused significant emotional distress.
Multiple witnesses were found who observed DEFENDANT break the subject window and corroborated VICTIM’s account of the threats made by DEFENDANT. DEFENDANT is presently in custody on similar allegations against the same victim occurring January 12, 2026, in 27-CR-26-1150.
