On November 4, 2025, Officers with the Anoka Police Department were on routine patrol when they observed a vehicle stop in the cross walk on an off ramp in the City of Anoka in the County of Anoka. Officers pulled over the vehicle, driven by Ray Edward Ideen [DOB REDACTED], herein Defendant, and observed in plain sight drug paraphernalia in a black bag on the passenger seat. Officers removed Defendant for questioning, and Defendant admitted that the paraphernalia "probably" contained methamphetamine.
After a search of the vehicle, a small plastic baggie with a white powdery substance weighing 1.2 grams with packaging, that mobile detected positive for methamphetamine, 22 white pills of Lorazepam, 4 white pills of Hydrocodone, a piece of tin foil with a white rocky substance, weighing 0.9 grams with packaging, mobile detecting positive for Amphetamines, Methamphetamine, Fentanyl and a small container with a trace amount of a crystal like substance along with 2 bottles of an unknown substance were discovered.
A Midwest Regional Forensic Laboratory report on the contents of the vehicle found that, in total there was.676 grams of a substance containing Methamphetamine, 4 tablets of a substance containing hydrocodone and acetaminophen, 22 tablets of lorazepam, and 0.208 grams of a substance containing para- fluorofentanyl, fentanyl, and xylazine.
