On April 7, 2026, at 0650 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to 901 Euclid, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a report of a female threatening others with a stun gun. Officers spoke to JCB, [DOB REDACTED]. He stated that Krista Lynne Garret, [DOB REDACTED], threatened him with a stun gun. He explained that Garrett previously lived at 901 Euclid with her mother. The mother has been deceased for two years. He saw Garret on the front step at 901 Euclid. She grabbed the mail from the mailbox and was yelling something about her mother.
She threatened him with the stun gun by pointing it at him. He then saw her threaten his neighbor, NY, [DOB REDACTED], with the stun gun. Officers spoke to NY who said he saw Garrett pacing and screaming. She started walking toward NY. She was staring at him and screamed, “Where is my mother?” She activated the stun gun as she walked toward him. He was afraid and went inside of his house to call the police. Witnesses stated that Garrett was driving a silver Pontiac. Officers located Garrett standing outside of the suspect vehicle and screaming near 909 Margaret.
Her driver’s door was open. Officers activated emergency lights and ordered her to stop. She said that they “weren’t the real police.” She entered the vehicle, started it, placed the vehicle in reverse and backed into a St. Paul squad car. She caused damage to the rear of the squad. She moved forward, placed the vehicle in reverse again and backed into the squad a second time. She shifted into drive and sideswiped another squad car as she fled westbound through the alley. Officers located the vehicle and stopped it near Minnehaha and 7th Street.
They arrested Garrett. She uttered that she struck the squad cars to get away from the police. She declined a custodial interview. Officers located a Vipertek stun gun on the passenger seat of the vehicle. Based on training and experience, the damage to the squad cars will exceed $1000 in repair costs.
