On November 2, 2025, Brooklyn Park Police were dispatched to an apartment residence on Boone Avenue North within the city of Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County on report of a burglary through kicked in door. Officers spoke with an adult female Victim [NAME REDACTED] was allowing REUBEN ISAAC HAMPTON [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter "Defendant," to live there while he was on electronic home monitoring (EHM). On that day she had a conversation with him about leaving as she was no longer comfortable with him staying there and Defendant left voluntarily.
When Victim [NAME REDACTED] from work later that night, she found her apartment door kicked in. Witness 1, a neighbor, provided video footage of the incident showing Defendant committing the act. An estimated repair of her door from the apartment company was $1,500.00. Defendant entered the apartment and took at least his ankle monitor. Defendant has an active conditional release warrant in ••-CR-••-•••• from the 11/02 incident above and violation of his EHM. In that case, he is pending charges from a shooting on October 2, 2024. Defendant is prohibited from the possession of firearms based on a prior criminal conviction for 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance in the State of New York.
Defendant's whereabouts remain unknown. Based on the seriousness of this case and the possible penalties attached, a warrant is requested to address bail and conditions necessary to protect the public safety and ensure Defendant's reappearance.
