On 04/03/2026 at about 0230 hours, Edina Police were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle theft. The vehicle’s owner, MAL, reported that someone had just stolen her 2012 Honda Accord (MN/RAK055) out of a restaurant parking lot. MAL described the suspect as a black male wearing a backpack. The value of the vehicle exceeded $5,000. About two hours later, at about 0425 hours, St. Paul Police spotted the stolen Honda driving near Smith and Kellogg Blvd in St. Paul, Ramsey County. The vehicle failed to signal a turn and police initiated a traffic stop.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Michael Anthony Andre TOLLERSON (DOB/1988-12-02). In a post-Miranda statement, TOLLERSON said the vehicle belonged to his uncle "Ron Williams" who let him use it about 40 minutes earlier. TOLLERSON was unable to provide further details about his uncle. TOLLERSON currently lives at the Higher Ground homeless shelter.
