At around 7:30 AM on September 13, 2025, officers were sent to the apartment building at [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County. A resident looked out his window and saw two white males associated with a white SUV approaching the building and acting suspiciously. The resident noticed the white SUV was gone, and he went inside the community room where he noticed the bill changer machine was missing and a vending machine had been damaged. Building surveillance video from that morning showed KEVIN DENNIS HASS [DOB REDACTED] and RONALD DARRELL VEZINA, Jr. [DOB REDACTED] used a tool to try to open the main lobby door.
The duo went to the south side of the building and again used the tool to enter the building. They went straight to the coin machine in the community room, and they removed the machine from its location. They then damaged the vending machine with a crowbar before they both carried the coin machine from the building. The cost to replace the vending machine and its base was $3445.00. The machine contained $450 in currency at the time it was stolen. The cost to repair the damaged vending machine was $2169.00. Hass has 4 prior felony convictions: stalking, an OFP violation, theft, and theft of a motor vehicle.
