On December 24, 2025, officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 1300 block of Hampshire Avenue South in St. Louis Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Victim 1 and Victim 2, who reported that “Elfido” aka EMANUAL GOMEZ [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, assaulted them. That evening, Victim 2 was hosting a gathering of family and friends including her friend (Victim 1) and her boyfriend (Defendant). According to both Victims, Defendant was acting jealous and questioning the relationship between Victim 1 and Victim 2. While confronting Victim 2 about the relationship, Defendant attempted to punch her in the face.
Victim 1 saw Defendant trying to hit Victim 2, so he got in the middle and tried to break it up. Defendant pulled a knife out of his pants and told Victim 1 he would kill him. Defendant then started chasing Victim 1 with the knife, and the two ended up outside. Victim 1 observed the Defendant walk over to a dark colored SUV and grab a firearm. He saw Defendant put the firearm in his pocket. Defendant continued to threaten Victim 1 with the knife, before eventually fleeing in the SUV. Victim 2 confirmed seeing Defendant and Victim 1 arguing after Defendant tried to hit her.
She then saw everyone start screaming and running and saying Defendant had a knife. She saw Defendant chasing Victim 1. Multiple people at the gathering confirmed to officers that they saw Defendant brandish a knife. Another neighbor, Victim 3, reported that he had stepped outside to let his dog out around this time. He sat down in his car to smoke a cigarette when a dark colored SUV pulled up next to him. The driver of the SUV pointed a gun at him. He ducked back down, and the driver pulled off.
He saw police stop the same SUV shortly after. He then ID'd Defendant in a show up as the individual who pointed a gun at him. Officers located Defendant driving nearby in Victim 2’s SUV. Officers were unable to locate a firearm or knife. There is a separate domestic assault case pending involving this Defendant and Victim 2. Defendant is currently in custody.
