On December 8, 2025, law enforcement responded to the Target located at 1500 109th Avenue NE, Blaine, Anoka County, on a delayed theft report from the store by a female suspect. The female suspect was later identified as Samarah Denise Adams [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein. Target asset protection, H. H., told law enforcement that on December 3, 2025, around 7:24 P.M., defendant entered the store and requested two Apple Air iPads, an Apple AirPods Max, and a Beats Solo 4 headphones from Target staff, telling them that she was picking them up for a third-party company, Shipt.
Target staff brought the items to defendant at the self-check out area. Defendant thereafter placed the items into a target bag and left the store, passing all points of sale without making any attempt to pay for the items. Defendant got into a white minivan and left the parking lot of the store. H. H. Confirmed the items were not part of a Shipt order and had not been paid for by another party. The total value of all four items is $1,899.96. During further investigation, law enforcement discovered that defendant was involved in a theft from the Target located at 755 53rd Avenue NE, Fridley, Anoka County, that same day, December 3, 2025, around 7:04 P.M. At the Fridley Target, defendant took merchandise, two Beats headphones and two Apple iPads, totaling $1,599.96 and passed all points of sale without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise.
Defendant was wearing the same clothing in both the Blaine Target theft and the Fridley Target theft, and was identified by surveillance footage, loss prevention, as well as defendant’s grandmother, K. A. Defendant was terminated as an employee of Target on June 23, 2024, after multiple incidents of theft occurred. Target did not report these incidents to law enforcement at the time. Law enforcement discovered that Defendant was also involved in three other thefts at Targets in Brooklyn Park and Minnetonka, Hennepin County.
On November 29, 2025, and December 1, 2025, at the Brooklyn Park Target located at 7535 West Broadway, Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, defendant took merchandise and passed all points of sale without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise and the value of the merchandise was $308.46 and $578.40, respectively. On December 8, 2025, at the Ridgedale Target located at [ADDRESS REDACTED], Minnetonka, Hennepin County, defendant took merchandise totaling $3,679.96, passing all points of sale, and did not make any attempt to pay for any of the merchandise.
The loss to Blaine, Fridley, Ridgedale, and Brooklyn Park Targets totals $8,066.74.
