On November 5, 2025, at approximately 10:01 A.M., officers were dispatched to the bridge over Central Avenue on 125th Avenue NE, City of Blaine, within the County of Anoka, on report of a driver slumped over the center console of a vehicle. Upon arrival officers found the driver, identified as Kris Uno Kuenzli [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant, asleep at the wheel. Officers knocked on the window multiple times before Defendant eventually woke up. Defendant informed officers he had fallen asleep because he had gotten high and taken fentanyl.
Officers had Defendant exit the vehicle and searched his person. Defendant informed officers he had fentanyl in his right sock. Defendant was placed under arrest. In a search of the vehicle officers found drug paraphernalia and a folded up piece of tinfoil in the center tray of the dash. Inside the foil was a purple powder substance suspected to be fentanyl. The substance was submitted to the Midwest Regional Forensic Laboratory for testing. Results showed the substance was 0.950 grams and contained fentanyl.
