On March 1, 2026, Officer Hilowle of the Rochester Police Department was dispatched to a residence in SE, Rochester, MN, Olmsted County. Office Hilowle spoke with Victim (adult male identified in police reports) who reported that he is the father to PEDRO VASQUEZ [DOB REDACTED]. Vasquez had been staying with him for the past 5 months. That morning, at about 3am, Vasquez was upset that he did not have any methamphetamine. Victim left the house later that day and when he returned Vasquez was acting aggressively, dumping items out in the house and hitting things.
Vasquez accused Victim of trying to kick him out of the house. Vasquez then pulled a pocket knife with an approximately 5-6 inch long blade out and said "moon gave me this knife to cut you up if you act out." As Vasquez was saying this he came towards Victim with the knife out and blade open. Victim felt afraid for his life when Vasquez was saying that he would cut him up and was coming at him with the knife. Vasquez then got his stuff and left the residence. Victim showed Officer Hilowle a video of the incident.
You can hear Victim [NAME REDACTED] has a knife in his hand and is threatening Victim. Vasquez says "ok what" and "I got it right here, call them, call them." Officer MacLeod found Vasquez walking away from the residence. He was initially uncooperative. Vasquez denied any assault.
