On September 1, 2025, around 5:32 P.M., law enforcement was dispatched to Dollar General located at 4030 229th Avenue NW, St. Francis, Anoka County, on a report of a theft. The reporting party, J. L., an employee of Dollar General, told law enforcement that a customer told him that while J. L. Was mopping up some spilled milk in the store, a female suspect took merchandise from the store she had put into a trash can, slipped out of the emergency exit, and got into a silver 2014 Ford F150 (MN/SFL136) without paying for the merchandise.
The customer described the female as wearing all black with a black ponytail with the ends of the hair blonde. The female suspect was later identified as Andrea Leigh Gunderson [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein. Surveillance footage from the store shows defendant entering the store around 4:59 P.M., goes into the health and beauty aisle around 5:15 P.M., and leaves through the emergency exit around 5:25 P.M. J. L. Was occupied around 5:22 P.M. Dollar General manager, S. B., was able to identify the merchandise taken in the trash can from that day in an annual audit and inventory of the store.
The stolen merchandise is valued at $675.69. Defendant has a prior enhancing felony conviction for felony check forgery under Minn. Stat. 609.631 in the last five years in court file no. 27-CR-23-20202, conviction date of June 28, 2024. Defendant was also on probation for the check forgery offense during this offense.
