On January 4, 2026 at 12:09 am, Faribault Police Officers responded to a call within the city of Faribault, Rice County, Minnesota, regarding harassment and threats of violence. An officer met with Victim 1 who is an adult female. Victim 1 reported that Akim Malik Webster ([DOB redacted]), the defendant herein, was threatening to kill her and hurt their children. When meeting with a Faribault Officer, Victim 1 reported that Webster sent her many text messages on January 3, 2026. Victim 1 provided the text messages to the Officer.
In the messages, Webster accused Victim 1 of “snitching” and told her, “Imma kill you just watch,” and “I hope they get me before I get to you.” Webster threatened to harm Victim 1’s brother and children. When Victim 1 indicated she would involve law enforcement Webster indicated that jail didn’t scare him and said, “I’m going to make them kill me.” Victim 1 showed officers scars on her body from previous assaults by Webster. Victim 1 believes that Webster is upset because she ended the relationship and had him leave the residence.
Webster has the following prior domestic assault related convictions: Felony Domestic Assault ••-CR-••-•••• 4/24/2023 5th Degree Assault ••-CR-••-•••• 10/23/2017 Webster has a significant criminal history including a conviction on 7/21/2022 for 1st Degree Drugs (62- CR-21-2675), and a conviction for possessing a firearm on 8/27/2025 (••-CR-••-••••). Webster is a violent offender. The Faribault Police Department has been unsuccessful in their attempts to locate Webster. The State respectfully requests a body only complaint warrant be issued.
