On March 1, 2026, law enforcement was dispatched to a hotel in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota for a report of a domestic assault. J. U., fully identified in police reports, reported that she came to the hotel to meet family. Justice Allan Peterson, [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein, were drinking. Defendant was aggressive with her and yelling at her multiple times throughout the night. J. U. Reported she became more concerned throughout the night due to his increased level of agitation.
While inside the room defendant threatened to kill J. U. J. U. Attempted to lock herself in the bathroom due to the comments defendant was making. Defendant attempted to gain entry into the bathroom. J. U. Reported she was scared that if defendant entered the bathroom he would hurt her or kill her due to prior domestic assaults. Law enforcement noted signs of recent damage to the exterior of the bathroom door. Law enforcement located defendant in the hallway of the hotel. Upon making contact defendant turned around and placed his hands behind his back and stated they were looking for him.
Defendant told officers several times they should take him to jail. When asked if he wanted to speak to the officer defendant stated he did not want to speak to him and whatever J. U. Said is what happened. Defendant had what appeared to be a fresh laceration on his hand and smeared blood on his forehead. Defendant and J. U. Are family or household members. Defendant was previously convicted on 04/22/2025 of Misdemeanor Domestic Assault in McLeod County District Court File No. ••-CR-••-••••. Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that all of the above information is true and correct.
The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above-named defendant, on or about the 1st day of March, 2026, in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, committed the offense(s) described herein.
