Officer Hanson met with A. P., a Regional Manager for U-Haul. A. P. Stated that they rented a U-Haul Box Truck, bearing AZ license AL94349 to Michael Keith Brucker, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter referred to as the defendant, at the Big Lake U-Haul location, on October 17, 2025, and it was to be returned on October 19, 2025. When the defendant rented the vehicle, he filled out a rental agreement where he listed a driver’s license from North Dakota as his identification. A. P. Said that they tried to contact the defendant by phone and by certified mail.

Officer Hanson tried to contact the defendant by phone. The voicemail was listed as the defendant’s. He then enlisted the assistance of the Fargo, North Dakota Police Department to try to locate the vehicle. On January 9, 2026, at approximately 4:00 A.M., Fargo Officer Blake Omberg located the U-Haul rented by the defendant at 510 4th Street South. The vehicle was towed. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
